Autism Center
SMT. RADHABHAI JAMNADAS THAKKER AUTISM CENTRE.
The centre was started on 9th December 2012. This centre caters to Autistic children who need special therapy. The Autistic children have a neurological disorder that affects the functioning of the brain. The Main focus of this centre is
- Diagnosis Therapy, group therapy, Hydrotherapy and Music therapy
- Imparting Education and Training for children with Autism
- Counselling of Parents of Autistic Children and Strategies to deal with them. The Staff Comprises of Psychiatrists, social workers, Psychologists, special educator, occupational therapists and speech therapists. We have group therapy sessions where competitions are held among these children in fancy dress sports and making food items. There are 14 beneficiaries every month in this centre.
